Barça Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
