Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
