Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the cases to restrict the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a public database noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the tragedy, public figures shared varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering controversial statements that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors last week. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the statements as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an associate ought to have intervened when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
